On July15th Indian cabinet officially announced Indian Rupee Symbol and currently the symbol is not uni-coded, which means it may take some time that symbol to appear on Keyboards, until then you can use below Free and Simple method to type Indian Rupee Symbol on your documents.
First download the Rupee font from here the below attachment.
To display our new rupee symbol in any word document first you need to copy the Rupee Foradian font in the fonts folder located in control panel.
After copying the font there you can open any word document and select “Rupee Foradian” font and click grave acent symbol ~ (the key just above “tab” button in your keyboard).It will display our new rupee symbol.
