Adding skins to VLC Player

The following are  the steps below to add skins to the VLC Player:

The first thing you have to do is to navigate to the folder where you VLC installation is located. Once you are in the VLC folder, find the subfolder named skins. There you will find the file named default.vlt which is the default skins for the media player. Unless you have changed the folder path during the installation, the VLC main folder should be located in program files. The screenshot below shows the procedure.
Once you are in the skins folder, simply drag the .vlc file of the new skins that you downloaded and drop it in the folder.

In the VLC player menus, go to the tools menu and then click on preferences.

Once you have accessed the Preferences menu, go to the Interface section. In the interface section, select the option “Use Custom Skins”. Once the option has been selected you will have to restart VLC player before seeing any effects.

This is VLC Player’s default skin. Now you will be able to change the skin of the player to the ones you have previously copy/pasted in the skins folder of the program.

Click on the top bar of the software. Go to interface --> Select Skin and choose the skin that you like.
